      Hi made389gas,

The Earth’s orbit around the Sun takes 365.24 days. The Earth takes approximately 365.24 days to go around the Sun, and our calendar year is 365 days. To fix this, we put on extra days in some years, called leap years. ie in every 4 years we add an extra day to compensate.

Binuraj’s answer is correct and summarises this really well 🙂
