      Nymphomania is considered as part of a medical condition that are often known as hyper sexuality disorders.

      Hypersexual behaviours are viewed by clinicians and therapists as a type of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) or OCD-spectrum disorders. There is little agreement among experts about the reasons that causes hypersexuality. One explanation is that, they are linked to sudden biochemical or physiological changes within the brain and these conditions are often treated as a mental or behavioural disorder by mental health care professionals.
