Biology is the natural science that studies life and living organisms, including their physical structure, chemical processes, molecular interactions, physiological mechanisms, development and evolution.
The most important thing for any good scientifc career is to study the subjects that you are very passionate about.I was very keen to learn and continue with a career in biology and chemistry. Yes I will recommend you to study biology if you have good score and strong interest in the subject. As it is a basic science, you should also be able to select and opt for more specialised courses (such as clinical science, or medical sciences) in future based on your initial university experience with those topics.
Biology is a great subject at University because there are so many things you could choose to study under that degree! This is fantastic if you aren’t sure about what specific parts of Biology you want to specialise in like Binuraj mentions in his reply. I learned a lot about human biology, human parasites and pathogens, ecology, the animal kingdom, bioinformatics, statistics as well as all the plant disease modules that I got to choose! Different Universities have different grade entry requirements, and even if you don’t make those of last minute decide that you want to do Biology at university many places offer Foundation courses that take an extra year to complete but mean you can still do the course! Science is for anyone willing to learn!
