      The corona virus can cause pneumonia, so if you are infected by corona virus you may have penumonia like symptoms. Those who have fallen ill are reported to suffer coughs, fever and breathing difficulties. Read more about it with below link

      For confirming whether someone has infected, medics or technicians perform two tests

      1) Real-time reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR) assays : which are used for the molecular tests to detect viral RNA in clinical samples taken from patients.

      2) another method is serology testing which is used to detect previous infection (antibodies to MERS-CoV) in people who may have been exposed to the virus.
