The third scientist evicted is…

James Roberts The votes were counted and recounted, but the result is in – James, it’s game over for you! Which means our three finalists are Hannah Blyth, Binuraj Menon and Alice Rhind-Tutt. They’ll be battling it out tomorrow to win your VOTE for the £500 prize money. What would they do with the money if they won? Hannah would: would love to buy some equipment to help put together a stand for science fairs as well as for some activities that can be taken to classrooms. Binuraj would: organise for a school visit for year 1 and 2 local school kids to our laboratory. Alice would: open up my lab and offer a chance to spend the day as a scientist! Who’s taking part in the Copernicium Zone

I’m a Scientist, Get me out of here! is back this March. Between Monday 9th and Friday 20th, students will be putting their questions to 6 scientists in the Copernicium Zone. Let’s meet the scientists and schools taking part… The Copernicium Zone is a general zone supported by STFC. James Roberts | Research Scientist, UK Atomic Energy Authority I design and test components that will take heat out of the plasma in a fusion reactor – which is a future energy source and the hottest place in the known universe. Hannah Blyth | PhD Student, University of Nottingham I work on finding out how a fungus causes disease on wheat leaves.
