      Oh good question! Its a little bit complicated. After I graduated (in History and Politics) I was working at a local building society on a temporary basis. One day an agency called me up and offer me an interview for a 9 month position at the main government funder of social science research (the Economic and Social Research Council).

      This was 8 years ago – since then I’ve worked in different areas and used the skills I gained to take the opportunity to work in a different area of science when a vacancy became available
